Climate

as per Wikipedia, is a “long-term average of weather, typically averaged over a period of 30 years”. What doest it really means?

Every day scientists all over the world record weather conditions – temperature, humidity, wind direction and speed, rainfall, snowfall, etc. Many sources say that such records started on a global scale in 1880.

Averaged means that scientists look at weather records for the last 30 years. Then they calculate typical conditions over that period of time.

Climate or weather conditions can be calculated for different time periods. For example, climate for 1978-2017 or 1900-1929.

We can compare these 2 periods between each other. Then we can note changes in weather conditions. That is climate change.
